As The Wave Forms is a creative sound studio founded by Alex Batchelor and Joseph Townshend. We make sound that captivates attention, resonates emotion, and transforms ideas into immersive realities.
From advertising to site specific installations, we work across a wide range of domains, bringing our versatility and expertise to every project. Whether enhancing a brand’s sonic identity or crafting a bespoke soundtrack for cinema, we pride ourselves on our ability to tackle diverse creative challenges and push the boundaries of sound design.
Our team comes from varied backgrounds in music production, mastering, sound design, performance and art. This unique blend of expertise allows us to explore how sound shapes experiences and discover innovative ways to elevate every project.
We work from two studios: Studio 2, an experimental space on Grand Cru, a 100-year-old, 110ft Dutch eel barge moored in St. Katharine Docks. Fitted with a mix of modern and legacy gear, it’s the perfect environment for sound creation. Our second location is Lexington Street in Soho, the vibrant heart of London’s cinema and sound industries, where we craft immersive audio in a stunning Dolby Atmos Certified studio.
